What a gift to the world my Father was. I am deeply honored to be his daughter. His warm loving smile brightened my life every day and will forever be a part of me. My Father had a special way with people. Everyone loved him because he was like the sun in the room full of cheer and love and warmth. He had an open hand to all who knew him and a way of treating others that made them feel good about themselves. He made constant sacrifices for his family to ensure we were well taken care of. Through good times and bad, he looked on the bright side of life. He was the model of service to humanity and would give you the shirt off your back if you needed it. I well remember road trips to Oklahoma where his Mother lived he would always stop to help if anyone was broken down. I will forever be grateful for the blessing to have Ralph Parsons as my beloved Father.

My grandpa was one of my absolute favorite people growing up. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face and it was contagious to everyone around him. I remember a specific story from when I was little and it was his 70th birthday. I asked him how old he was, and when he told me my eyes must have widened and I remember telling him that was really really old! He just laughed at me and said something like "Well, yes it is. I never planned on making this far so every year now is just a bonus!" That always stuck with me as a typically funny grandpa response, but I think it really sums up his wonderful outlook on life. He greeted each day with enthusiasm and made the most of every moment. I will miss him very much.

DAD, you took such good care of all of us. You loved a joke and had such a twinkle in your eye when telling them. I remember helping you clean the gutters at the Garden Home house. I liked being close with you at such times. Dad, you were part of several organizations that helped people. The masons and shriners and elks to name a few. When we were teenagers and went to church with Mom and Dad, Dad would be singing his heart out! As most of yours know, he couldn't carry a tune! Dearest Father, I will carry you in my heart forever.

Ralph was the best. He taught me how to drive a semi and more importantly to be a professional. Be true to yourself He would say.

Donna,
Our condolences to you, the girls, and their families.
There are so many wonderful memories of Ralph, Laurain and the girls, with Carol, Scott and Stuart we would all go dune bugging as many times as we could in a summer. Our kids all grew up together, and Ralph and I would work on our Buggies fixing them up, changing them, and always tinkering with them. Ralph loved life and it showed in many ways, his caring, and kindness for others and his zest for life and yes, his great smile. Ralph loved people and life. I met Ralph after George and I married in 1983, and he and George would talk about the good old dune buggy days. I had never been on a dune buggy so he decided it was time for me to experience a good old dune buggy ride. We almost didn’t make it as some kind of bolt came out of the transmission and we were stuck. He found the bolt and both of us were in the sand trying to get the sand far enough away from the transmission so he could put it back together. My hand was under the transmission part so if he dropped the bolt it would not fall in the sand and disappear. We finally got back to the camp grounds were everyone thought maybe we had gotten lost. Ralph kidded me for years about that. George and I missed him after he moved to Arizona, but enjoyed his company a few times after he return to the Northwest.
Ralph, may you rest in peace, when we look up into the heavens, we will know you are looking over us all.
With fond memories always
George & Barbara Massinger
